EDIT: I've recently gotten a new graphics card/MB/CPU/Ram and I tried Texmod again, this time it seems to have worked. Borderlands 2 and Giana Sisters loaded up textures and the logging system respectively.
Putting this here since Tomb Raider is how I discovered and explored Texmod.
Like the title says, Texmod has stopped working properly for me. I used to be able to use it with no problems in the past. However recently I have gotten a new HDD and I moved over all my games to it. With Steam I copied the Steam Apps folder and the Steam.exe. However a lot of games needed downloading again for some reason when I tried to run them.
Like usual I would get Texmod, manually find the game exe (since they had now moved), manually select the tpf files and run the game. However the textures weren't showing up at all.
Here is a list of the games I tried.
---------
Alice: Madness Returns
Steam
Failed to work
Batman: Arkham City
Steam + Games For Windows Live
Worked
Grand Theft Auto
Steam + GFWL + Rockstar Social Club
Failed to work
Dead Space 2
Steam
Failed to work
Duke Nukem Forever
No client
Worked
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4
Gamefly
Worked
Tomb Raider Underworld
Steam
Failed to work
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams
Steam
Failed to work
Borderlands 2
Steam
Failed to work
Hydrophobia: Prophecy
Steam
Failed to work
Orcs Must Die 2

---------
Of the working games I tried, all were non-Steam games with the exception of Batman: AC which was also GFWL. Each game except for Giana Sisters and Orcs Must Die 2 were ones I had copied over from by main HDD to the new one. With them I had bought them during the xmas sales and installed them directly onto the new HDD. With Harry Potter I could run logging and package mode to change a single texture in the game with no problems.
I had tried various methods with running Texmod from running it directly and then opening the game.exe plus renaming texmod to game.exe and game.exe to game2.exe and then running the game through Steam. Neither method worked.
I also tried out Umod, no luck there.
Right now I am deleting all of Alice's local content (including doing it manually) and redownloading it. When that is done I will try again. I have both textures I made as well as those by other people. They worked before and I hope they will work now. EDIT - Tried it and it didn't work.
Does anyone have any idea as to what caused this change exactly? Why are Steam games not working (with the exception to Batman: AC and GFWL) and not the others? To make sure I have added Texmod to Microsoft Security Essentials' whitelist programs and processes as well as changed the program's properties to run as Admin (also done via right clicking).
You may get a FALSE virus alert if you start TexMod.Putting this here since Tomb Raider is how I discovered and explored Texmod.

In this case switch off an antivirus at patch installation
The program is necessary for extraction and installation of graphic resources (nude skins of course) in many games, and particular Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Tomb Raider Legend, Sid Meier’s Pirates! And many other things. Texmod are really useful, whenever you would like to instal graphical patches, like naked mods or skin patches to your games.

How to use Texmod with DX10 Games:
(Tomb Raider 2013 e.t.c.)
To use it is necessary to run Tomb Raider 2013 in Directx9 and game graphics options in High level!
Texmod only works with DirectX 9, to force Tomb Raider to always use DirectX 9:
Execute DirectX9.reg (included in package)
Execute DirectX9.reg (included in package)
Restore DirectX 10/11:
Execute Restore.reg (included)
Execute Restore.reg (included)
Now use Texmod as you would normally.
Enjoy!
